I am in love with the idea of making something for my boys this Christmas. These are the types of gifts that get passed down to their children, not the cheap plastic junk that I seem to buy every year just to watch it get tossed aside after 30 minutes of being played with.
So last year I tried something different, I bought my oldest son tons of science kits, and you know what, he loves them and still uses them. This year he has asked for a telescope, so I know we were on the right track!
Below are a couple of gift ideas for boys that I found and wanted to share with you. Clicking the pictures will take you to the instructions for putting together each gift.
Little Boys Fort Kit
This kit is adorable and easy to put together and it will provide your little adventurous ones with hours of fun.
Slingshot
Do not freak out! Slingshots are fun and I believe a necessary part of growing up. It feeds their little “Hunter” side without being too dangerous. Throw in some marbles and they will have a nerveracking fantastic time. Just remember to provide them with adequate adult supervision and they shouldn’t “Shoot their eye out”.
Clicking the link will take you to a site where you can buy these but it also has tons of pictures so you can see how to make your own.
Travel Art Packet
This is a really sweet little kit if your little one likes to draw. It has little slots for crayons and markers and a paper pad. It is also ultra-portable so they can take it anywhere.
Skateboard Tree Swing
This is a great twist on the traditional tree swing and I’m pretty sure that if you can find a big enough tree limb then it would even be safe for adult use.
I will be continuing this series in the upcoming weeks so make sure to subscribe to get all of our updates!
