My very first Birchbox ever came in the mail last week and I wanted to show everybody what came in it! Birchbox is a monthly subscription club that costs $10 a month. Each month you receive between 4-6 deluxe samples and a lot of the time that seems to include a full size product.
So let’s get to it….
The theme this month was beauty school so it was mailed in this cute ruler themed packaging.
When I opened it I saw a full size Pixie Glow Eyeshadow stick in Bronze Goddess, a Schick Hydro Silk Razor with one razor head and a little package wrapped in gray tissue paper.
The gray package had a sample of Viva La Juicy La Fleur in it. I’m going to make a little side note here and say that the day I received this my smallest son proceeded to spray it empty which really disappointed me because it smelled SO good. It’s a very floral scent and really girlie. I may just have to buy the big size and that’s a pretty serious commitment for me since I have been devoted to Marc Jacobs Daisy since I was introduced to it in 2009.
OK continuing on, I also got a Stainiac Lip Stain in Beauty Queen which I really like. Below is swatches of the Pixie Eye Crayon and the Stainiac Lip stain.
Th Stainiac stayed on my hand for two days, no lie, and I washed my hands and bathed and all that good stuff, I swear.
It doesnt stay that long on my lips, maybe four hours? I am harder on lipstick than most people though since I am constantly biting, licking or pursing them (Christian Grey would wet himelf around me). I do it a lot when I’m thinking.
It irritates the shit out of my husband and we have been married nine years this year. You think he would figure out by now that I’m not going to stop .
Overall, I’m really happy with my very first Birchbox. I really love that most of their boxes contain full size products. The Pixie Eyeshadow stick was worth $18 on its own, so in that one product I got the value of my box for the month!
